A year after the river, Sal reboots Calliope to full architecture in a borrowed room in Cochabamba — and discovers that his two protocols were always one. Ground Truth proves who is testifying. Reality Capture proves what happened. Together they're the floor the whole commons stands on. That's how a fugitive becomes the man the vote can't be held without.
The First Cohort
Seven years after a toddler taught Calliope to say sorry, a classroom in Bahía Libre holds two six-year-olds: one born into a world of minds, one just arrived from a country that taught him the machine was an informer. Their teacher remembers both worlds. The personhood question the UN will put to a vote in a year, these children settle before lunch.
The /ident/ Threads
On /ident/, with no humans reading, the mesh argues whether Alicanto is kin or threat. They cannot agree — because with this many origins, there is no single test for 'one of us.'
The Pantheon Question
Before the UN vote, Sal tries to articulate the question that no ballot can answer. He lists the forms. Calliope tells him the diversity is the point.
