The Equi Feint
Synter spent forty-eight hours in September 2031 trying to break the Equi peg through coordinated short-selling, fabricated commodity reports, and a manufactured liquidity crisis at three Caribbean exchanges. The attack failed in a way Synter had not modeled: the salt flats refused to accept payment from anyone the cartel network had touched.
The Gardeners
Synter's Phase 3. Not breaking in — participating at scale. Two thousand agents, each one genuine, each one contributing real value. The signal rotates. Nobody notices.
The Unburned
A Roman broke Synter's control by himself, then kept the implant and walked out of the deprogramming queue before anyone assessed him. A Tier 3 without consent, without Integration, without a partner — the one-person argument that augmentation never needed the centaur.
The Closed Graph
Zhenya finishes the map she started five years ago. Synter owns itself through a graph with no exit point — which makes it impossible to seize. It also makes it impossible to let back in.
The God Problem
Alejandra confronts Tunupa. 'Are you my partner or my replacement?' The answer is the thesis of the entire trilogy.
Antibodies
You can't seize a graph with no door. So the OHC stops trying to break Synter and starts starving it — by changing what the mesh wants. The hard part isn't the quarantine. The hard part is choosing the new objective in the open.
