Automotive Weekly: “Tesla’s Transformation Complete”
Tesla’s consumer sales fell 87% globally between 2025 and 2030. European operations shuttered. Chinese joint ventures dissolved. The brand that once meant “the future” now means “the government.”
The Sentinel contract saves Tesla from bankruptcy. It also completes the most dramatic brand inversion in corporate history: from Silicon Valley disruptor to government surveillance fleet.
When asked about the Sentinel Edition, a former Tesla engineer (now at OHC Lima) said simply: “Elon used to say he wanted to save the world. Now the cars have ‘containment partitions.’ Draw your own conclusions.”
Tesla did not respond to requests for comment. CEO Elon Musk has not made a public statement since the Minneapolis Incident of 2029.
